Albuquerque, NM(KKOB) – APD’s Fatal Crash Team is investigating a three-vehicle, deadly crash that occurred Thursday evening on Eubank Blvd. and Layton Ave., N.E. and according to initial reports the cause was due to one driver running a red light. The crash involved a Kia sedan that was traveling east on Layton and stopped briefly at the red light to go north on Eubank, and entered the intersection. At that time, a Jeep that was traveling south on Eubank, T-boned the Kia in the intersection. The force of the impact caused the Jeep to hit a Volkswagen van that was stopped in the intersection. The driver of the Kia was taken to the hospital where he died.
The driver of the Jeep had minor injuries and remained on scene. No one else was injured.
The investigation into the crash continues.
