ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – Albuquerque Public Schools and New Mexico United are partnering to host a combined celebration of education, career readiness, and community engagement later this month.
The event, called “APS Education Appreciation Night,” is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park. The evening will include both a pre-game College and Career Fair and a professional soccer match featuring New Mexico United against the Charleston Battery.
The College and Career Fair will begin at 5:30 p.m., giving students and job seekers an opportunity to connect with more than 20 colleges, employers, and training organizations. Representatives are expected from groups including the University of New Mexico, Central New Mexico Community College, Sandia National Laboratories, and local businesses.
Organizers say the event is designed to help students explore options after graduation while highlighting APS’s focus on college and career readiness.
The soccer match will kick off at 7 p.m., with proceeds from ticket sales helping support the APS Education Foundation and its programs for students.
APS officials say the event will also recognize student and staff achievements, making it both a celebration and a resource opportunity for the community.
