Doña Ana County, NM (KKOB) – A Doña Ana County family has lost everything after a fire destroyed their mobile home just outside of Las Cruces. Las Cruces firefighters assisted Doña Ana County with a residential structure fire just before midnight Wednesday night. Fire crews from Las Cruces and Doña Ana County were called to the scene of the fire on the 7100 block of MacArthur Road. Two Engines and a Battalion from Las Cruces Fire assisted the county units with the mobile home which was heavily engulfed upon arrival.
LCFD and county crews remained on scene into the early morning hours of Thursday overhauling and conducting a thorough secondary search of the affected structure which was a complete loss.
Doña Ana County fire is currently investigating the cause of the fire in conjunction with the Sheriff’s department.
