Lincoln County, NM (KKOB) – Search and rescue operations are in effect this morning in the Capitan Mountains for a missing medical aircraft. According to Lincoln County Manager Jason Burns, says the county has sent fire and other emergency crews to reports of a fire also in the mountains and try to determine if the missing aircraft and the fire are related. Preliminary reports indicate that the medical plane was flying from Roswell to the Sierra Blanca Regional Airport near Ruidoso.
