Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A federal jury has convicted 33 year old Tevin King of Albuquerque on a federal drug possession charge after a high-speed pursuit through multiple New Mexico cities. After locating King outside a parked gar at a gas station in Portales, agents moved in, and that’s when King is accused of hopping into the driver’s seat and speeding away. Federal authorities stated he threw a tote bag from the driver’s side window near Eastern New Mexico University before the pursuit went to Clovis. The pursuit ended there after his vehicle crashed with a law enforcement vehicle in a residential area. Authorities arrested King. They later found the bag he threw out had around 16,000 fentanyl pills in it. His sentencing hasn’t been set yet, but he faces 10 years to possibly life in prison.
