Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –It’s been nearly a year and a half ago that APD Officer, Bianca Quintana died in a hit and run accident. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for answers and need the public’s help with any tips they may have. Deputies responded to a crash around 12:45 a.m. on August 14th of 2024 near Coors and Chapulin SW. The driver hit the off duty officer and then fled leaving Quintana who died on the scene. Investigators said a Volkswagen vehicle was involved in the crash with specifics on the vehicle still under investigation. Quintana joined APD in 2022 and worked in the Foothills Area Command at the time of her death. You can submit a tip using Tip 411 or calling Crime Stoppers at 505- 843 STOP. There is up to a $10,000 reward in the case.
