Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A Taos man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the 2019 killings of two members of Taos Pueblo. Federal prosecutors say 39-year-old Joshua Gonzales was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder after an eight-day trial. Investigators say Gonzales bludgeoned the victims—identified only as John Doe 1 and his father—with a wooden table leg, then hid their bodies inside a home. The men were found two days later after family reported them missing. There is no parole in the federal system.
