ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police arrested 25-year-old Seth Mitchell early Saturday morning following a crash that left another driver critically injured.
Officers responded to the scene at Coors Bypass and Ellison Drive NW around 3:12 a.m. Investigators determined that a white Honda was traveling west on Ellison through the intersection on a green light when it was struck by a white Ford work van heading southbound on Coors. Police say the van ran a red light at a high rate of speed, causing the Honda to flip multiple times.
The driver of the Honda was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Mitchell, identified as the driver of the van, was arrested and charged with DWI resulting in great bodily harm.
The investigation is ongoing.
