Socorro, NM (KKOB) – A Flash Flood Emergency was issued for Socorro County due to severe flooding in areas south of the City of Socorro. Areas affected include roads around San Antonio and Socorro that are washed out or heavily flooded due to heavy rain. Residents are asked to shelter in place or evacuate if necessary immediately. Residents who need a place to go can go to Finley Center where a shelter has been established. Anyone stranded or trapped is urged to call 911.
