Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – A 26-year old Santa Fe man is given a 35 year prison sentence for a double murder that happened in 2024 in Santa Fe.
Manuel Joseph Martinez, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder for killing 19-year old Abraham Romo and 23-year old Ebony Martinez. Both were shot while in the back seat of an SUV. Martinez had said he was being robbed by the couple when he shot them.
The plea agreement — approved by the judge earlier this year — allowed for a range of 18 years to 35 years for sentencing, and the judge decided for the maximum sentence.
