Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — 38 year old Zebadiah Romero will spend the rest of his life in federal prison. A jury convicted him of murder and other charges, two years after he shot and killed the victim, stashed his body in a building on his property, and stole his pickup and dog. Prosecutors said Romero was motivated by revenge, believing the victim had tipped off police about his criminal activities. They said that before the murder, Romero bragged he would “sleep like a baby and get away with it.” That proved to be an overstatement when Thursday morning, a judge sentenced him to life plus 10 years.
