ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is bringing back Music Fiesta this fall with a new format that combines live music with one of the event’s most popular nighttime attractions.
Organizers announced that multi-platinum country artist Russell Dickerson will headline Music Fiesta on Saturday, Oct. 10, during Balloon Fiesta’s Night Magic Glow event. For the first time, live performances will be integrated into the evening’s festivities, which also include the balloon glow, a drone light show and fireworks.
Dickerson, known for hits including “Yours,” “Blue Tacoma,” “Love You Like I Used To,” and “Happen to Me,” will take the stage following the Night Magic Glow.
Joining him will be rising country artist Dasha, whose breakout hit “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’)” helped make her one of country music’s fastest-growing performers. Albuquerque native Nathaniel Krantz will open the event.
Balloon Fiesta Executive Director Julie Morgas Baca said the updated format is designed to create a more immersive experience by combining music and ballooning into a single event.
The evening will also feature Team Fastrax skydivers, the Night Magic Glow, a drone light show sponsored by Sandia Resort & Casino, and the traditional AfterGlow Fireworks Show.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 7 at 10 a.m. Music Fiesta tickets range from $30 to $300, depending on seating and VIP options. Organizers note that a separate general admission ticket is also required for entry into Balloon Fiesta Park.
The 2026 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta runs in October and remains the largest gathering of hot air balloons in the world.
