ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to an aircraft emergency at Double Eagle Airport on Wednesday morning after a plane reportedly veered off a runway following its landing.
According to Albuquerque Fire Rescue, emergency crews were dispatched after receiving reports that an aircraft had experienced a problem after touching down and left the runway area.
Officials said the two people aboard the aircraft were able to safely exit the plane before first responders arrived.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released details about the type of aircraft involved or what may have caused it to leave the runway.
The incident remains under investigation.
