Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Albuquerque Isotopes unveiled a new Mariachi Lowrider jersey for this year’s Lowrider Night on Saturday, August 22nd. Lowrider Night is one of the biggest events of the season and in line with baseball and community the Isotopes have a new Mariachi Lowrider jersey that the players will wear that night. The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds benefitting the Duke City Lowrider After School Program. City Councilor Klarissa Pena spoke about the program’s cultural relevance for kids in the program. The specialty jerseys were designed by prominent lowrider artists Rob Vanderslice and Joseph “Blast” Leyba. A lowrider car show happens before the game along with a special bobblehead giveaway for the first 3000 fans on August 22nd.
