The City of Albuquerque has released a new bike map, highlighting more than 400 miles of cycling routes across the metro.
The updated map outlines a wide range of options for bicyclists, including paved and unpaved trails, multi-use paths, buffered bike lanes, and bicycle boulevards. It also shows arroyos, trailheads, and connections to public transit, including locations where riders can load bikes onto buses.
Officials say the goal of the map is to help cyclists better understand how the city’s growing network connects, making it easier to plan routes and travel across Albuquerque.
The update comes two years after the city’s last map and reflects continued expansion of the system. New features include additional trail mileage, improved crossings, expanded open space connections, and the developing rail trail.
The map also highlights Albuquerque’s 50-mile loop, a key route linking many of the city’s trails and bike paths.
The updated map is available online and in print at locations around the city, including City Hall, libraries, and community centers.
