Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An Albuquerque man was sentenced to life in prison after his conviction for a murder in 2024 where the victim was shot multiple times.
Samuel Jimenez Perez was sentenced Thursday for the murder of Rosendo Martinez on September of 2024. According to court records, Jimenez Perez went to Martinez’s home wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with a semi-automatic handgun. Martinez was shot seven times.
Under New Mexico law, a life sentence for First-Degree Murder means Jimenez Perez will not be eligible for parole for at least 30 years
