Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – APD homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a woman that happened in the downtown area late Tuesday night. The shooting victim, an adult female, died this morning at a local hospital Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Gilbert Gallegos tells us officers responded to a report of a shooting just after 11:00 p.m. in the area of Central Ave and 8th St. When officers arrived they found the victim with a gunshot wound, she was taken to the hospital, and reportedly died this morning.
Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit later responded to start an investigation. The case is now being handled by homicide detectives.
