Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –San Juan County is expected to get 80 new jobs due to the extension of a natural gas pipeline. The now completed 13 mile pipeline leads to the San Juan County Industrial Park near La Plata and marks a major infrastructure milestone for economic development in northwest NM. The pipeline will deliver natural gas to the industrial park and to homes and businesses along the route. Industrial tenant Process Equipment and Service Company (PESCO) is now connected to the new pipeline and is in the process of adding approximately 80 jobs over the next year. Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Rob Black said, “Extending natural gas service to the industrial park gives companies the reliable energy they need to expand operations and invest in San Juan County.” The San Juan County Industrial Park comprises 45 acres of property available for industrial development.
