Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –It was announced today (Tue) that the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad will delay their opening due to drought conditions and elevated fire danger across the region. The CT & S was originally scheduled to open May 23rd but is now delayed until Tuesday, June 9th. A review will be done one week prior to that date to determine if conditions have improved enough to safely operate the train. Guests holding reservations for affected departures have been contacted directly by the railroad’s reservations department. Passengers may choose either a full refund or rebooking on a later departure.
