Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An Albuquerque man who is a former APS special ed school bus driver has pled guilty to possession of child pornography and will spend up to six years in prison. 33-year old Patrick Bilbo, was arrested in December of last year after an investigation against him began in March after receiving multiple cybertips of child pornography being distributed through the messaging platform Kik. Investigators said that they found several videos featuring multiple victims, in some cases the victims were potentially as young as five years old.
He was charged with two counts of distribution of sexual exploitation of children and one count of possessing material with a child under 13. Bilbo was hired by APS in 2024 to a position where he had contact with disabled students and was eventually fired from that job after his arrest. According to APS he had no previous criminal history.
As part of the plea agreement, Bilbo will spend one to six years behind bars and will be registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life. His sentencing is set for July.
