Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A stranded hiker was rescued by a NM Army National Guard aviation medevac team Wednesday evening. Officials say the hiker became lost and incapacitated in remote terrain in Lincoln County. The man was reported to be dehydrated and incoherent at times in an area inaccessible to a ground rescue. The NM National Guard launched a Black Hawk helicopter shortly after 5pm and after about half an hour at the man’s last known location they were able to spot the stranded hiker. He was transported to Truth or Consequences where he was listed in stable condition and taken to a local hospital.
