Las Cruces, NM (KKOB) – Police at New Mexico State University are looking for a woman they say is a suspect for several fires around the NMSU campus. Police and fire investigators report that three arson incidents took place within a 24-hour period on campus on Sunday near the Delta Zeta sorority residence, another early Monday morning to an area between Domenici Hall and the Undergraduate Learning Center, and the third fire was between the Library and Foster Hall damaging two palm trees and windows at the hall.
NMSU police say that the suspect in all three incidents is a white woman with short, gray hair, wearing an orange t-shirt, and appears to be in her 50’s. Now, police say they have increased patrols around campus and asking campus community to be on the lookout for suspicious activity and report it immediately by calling 911.
