ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – New Mexico United is adding a themed twist to Wednesday night’s home match, hosting its first‑ever Star Wars Night at Isotopes Park.
The event takes place May 6 at Rio Grande Credit Union Field, as United faces rival El Paso Locomotive. Team officials say Star Wars characters will be on hand throughout the stadium, with fans encouraged to attend in costume. Those dressed up will be invited onto the field at halftime for a group photo.
Photo opportunities with characters will be available near the first‑ and third‑base gates during the match. Fans are also allowed to bring lightsabers into the stadium.
In conjunction with the event, New Mexico United and Lucasfilm will donate funds to the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center. Tickets for the match are available through SeatGeek.
