Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – Seasonal water conservation rules are now in effect in Santa Fe and will continue through the end of October. The requirements apply to both homes and businesses and focus on reducing water use during peak summer months. Outdoor watering is not allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m..
Other key requirements include:
• Limits on vehicle washing to once per month with automatic shut-off nozzles
• Prohibition on using hoses or power washers to clean hard surfaces
• Requirements for covered pools, efficient irrigation systems, and reduced turf water use
City officials say the measures are designed to limit evaporation and protect Santa Fe’s water supply.
