Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –An unusual meeting between an owl and a school bus has sent the driver to the hospital. An owl struck and damaged a middle school team bus that was carrying the La Plata Middle School girls basketball team returning from activities in Lordsburg. The bus driver was hospitalized after glass may have entered his eye and hands. No students were injured and the bus driver was able to safely pull off the road after the incident. A second bus was dispatched to bring the students back to Silver City.
