Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Issues with trash pick up in Albuquerque may be happening for several days after all the rain we saw the last few days. City residents could see delays because of hazardous conditions at the city landfill. A dirt road that leads to a section of the landfill is now very dangerous for the large collection trucks to drive on.
The city says trash collection will continue, it may be several days before your trash will be picked up. The city says they will be collecting trash daily from 7 a.m. until dusk. Residents are asked to keep cart lids closed, and anyone with too much trash you can’t close the cart should call 311. Officials said the city will work with those residents on a case-by-case basis.
Similarly, trash collection in Rio Rancho and Bernalillo County has been delayed, according to online updates from Waste Management. Residents can check for live updates on the Waste Management website by inputting their address.
