Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –In Wednesday night’s city council meeting, councilors voted on an ordinance banning crypto ATMs in the city. Councilors stated that those ATMs have high fees and are known to be targeted by scammers. The ban states that any already existing crypto ATMs within the city limits must be removed within 45 days. Albuquerque residents remain free to lawfully own, possess, mine, and privately transfer virtual currency through online exchanges and personal digital wallets.
