Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –NM’s broadband office has awarded nearly $6 million in grants delivering more public Wi-Fi access to city and state parks, public housing, and civic, community and senior centers in the state. The office of Broadband Access and Expansion has approved nine Wi-Fi grants through its newly launched program designed to help local and state agencies expand Wi-Fi service. Awardees must complete the Wi-Fi projects by the end of this year and include numerous locations including Bluewater Lake, Conchas Lake, North Domingo Baca Park, and Old Town Plaza.
