Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Rail Yards is now home to CNM’s new $73 million film and digital media training center. The center, unveiled to the public on Tuesday, will open later this month to its first class of 260 students. The building will contain a recording facility, a sewing lab, a hair and makeup studio, shops for woodwork, metalwork and 3D printing. There are plans in the coming years to feature programs for music and sound design, voice-over performance, video game design and artificial intelligence assisted filmmaking. The building was funded with $35 million from CNM, over $22 million from the state Economic Development Department and $15 million from the city of Albuquerque.
