Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson has announced his endorsement for 2026 gubernatorial candidate Gregg Hull. Johnson, who served as a Republican governor from 1995 to 2003, has been more recently known as a Libertarian. He ran for president as a Libertarian in 2012 and 2016. Johnson pointed to Hull’s 12 years as Rio Rancho mayor and called his record proof that experience gets results. Saying, “As New Mexico’s former governor, I’d like to think I know what it takes to lead this state with fiscal discipline and common sense.”
