Mountainair, NM (KKOB) – Two bodies were found inside a home this morning in Mountainair according to information from the Torrance County Sheriff’s Office. The bodies were found after the sheriff’s office received several calls early Wednesday morning and deputies were sent to a home in the area of Beal Street and Hanlon Avenue. Once deputies arrived, they found two people dead and another person suffering from what appear to be an overdose and required Narcan.
The incident escalated as medical crews also reported feeling sick upon arrival and had to be taken to the hospital as well. This required more assistance from other communities with the response. According to the sheriff’s office and a social media post from Mountainair mayor Peter Prieto the incident is contained to that area and posting “please be assured there is no danger to the community. ”
This is a developing story as News Radio KKOB will have further details once they become available.
