Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is responding to an allegation of excessive force involving a deputy last December. The incident involved Deputy Bryan Lassley during a call for service outside the Bernalillo County Juvenile Detention and Youth Services Center. Sheriff John Allen ordered an independent investigation by the Multi-Agency Task Force, led by New Mexico State Police. That investigation has now been completed and forwarded to the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office for review. Deputy Lassley was placed on administrative leave and the sheriff has begun termination proceedings. No additional details are being released.
