Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A new name coming for NMSU’s Pan American Center. The naming rights deal — $13 million for 10 years — has already been approved and recommended by an ad hoc naming committee, which wrote a memo last week to NMSU President Valerio Ferme. The facility will be named White Sands FCU Arena at the Pan American Center. Historically, the Pan Am Center has been under the direction of the university’s Special Events Department, though Athletics will be getting the entirety of the money from the deal and it will be put into the overall operating budget for athletics each year.
