Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Federal prosecutors have charged a New Mexico woman and a Texas man in an alleged document fraud operation. According to investigators, Teodora Moreno Reyes of Hatch and Fernando Galvan of Fort Worth worked together to create fake immigration, identification, and employment authorization documents. The investigation began after border officers intercepted fraudulent documents at New Mexico’s Columbus Port of Entry. Authorities later linked the suspects to dozens of counterfeit Social Security cards, permanent resident cards, and state identification cards. Both defendants are charged with conspiracy and document fraud offenses.
