Tucumcari, NM (KKOB) – Two people were taken to the hospital following a house explosion Thursday morning in Tucumcari. Tucumcari Fire Rescue and TPD responded to a call around 7 :00 a.m. in the 500 block of West Turner Street after emergency communications received the call about the house explosion. Once they arrived they found two people with injuries who were takent to Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari.
The New Mexico State Fire Marshal’s Office is now in charge of the investigation into the cause of the explosion.
Residents are advised to avoid the area to allow emergency personnel to work safely.
