Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – The City of Albuquerque’s Office of Civic Engagement is hosting the Fall 2026 Civic Connections Volunteer Fest on Tuesday, October 13, from 3 to 6 pm at the Albuquerque Museum. The city government is bringing together city departments, nonprofits, community organizations, and residents for the event.
Whether you have an afternoon to spare, are looking for a new way to get involved, need volunteer hours, want to meet people in your community, or are searching for a cause that feels personal, Volunteer Fest is a place to start.
The free, all-ages event offers residents a chance to meet the people and organizations doing work across Albuquerque and discover volunteer opportunities that match their interests, skills, and schedules. Over 30+ city departments and community partners will be on hand under one roof, and those who attend can explore opportunities ranging from working with animals and supporting youth to environmental stewardship, community health, arts and culture, food access, public safety, and more.
“Volunteer Fest is really about making that first connection,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “You might walk in knowing exactly what you want to do, or you might have a general interest in volunteering. Either way, this event gives you the opportunity to meet organizations, ask questions, discover something new, and find a way to put your time and talents to work in our community.”
Attendees will be able to connect directly with volunteer coordinators and community organizations, learn about opportunities available through One Albuquerque Volunteers, and participate in interactive programming throughout the afternoon.
