Clovis, NM (KKOB) – A Plainview, Texas man is in custody in Curry County in connection with the death of his wife in Clovis.
39-year old Jon Quezada initially told deputies that he had found his wife, 36-year-old Anna Ulibarri of Clovis, dead in an empty field.
Investigators reported that Quezada and Ulibarri stayed at a hotel in Clovis, near Highway 70, and that around 3 a.m. on Friday, deputies say Quezada hit Ulibarri and forced her into a vehicle.
Quezada was arrested and booked into the Curry County Adult Detention Center for Murder, Kidnapping, tampering with evidence and unlawful possession of a firearm or destructive device, deputies said.
