Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Bernalillo County Commissioners approving a resolution to provide financial support towards to South Valley MainStreet. SVMS is a grassroots economic development nonprofit organization formed to assist the South Valley Community in the revitalization of the commercial district near Bridge and Isleta Boulevards.
SVMS has several projects underway to improve and beautify the district to retain and attract new businesses. These include creating a Tax Increment Funding of TIF district for capital projects and operations along the redevelopment area, including Spanish speaking entrepreneurs and an ongoing I Love the South Valley Because, campaign to promote arts, culture, history, traditions, arts, events and farms and businesses in the area.
