UNM TAKES NEW APPROACH AGAINST SEXUAL ASSAULT

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) The University of New Mexico has launched a new program to help victims of sexual assault and encourage them to report the crimes. Creation of the Sexual Assault Response Team allows victims to obtain medical help and counseling and also make reports to police and the university all in one place.

According to KOB-TV, the hope is that victims will have more control of what happens next, making it easier for them to report sexual assaults.
