RIO RANCHO, N.M. (AP) A Sandoval County grand jury has indicted a Rio Rancho middle school teacher accused of roughing up students. KRQE-TV reports that science teacher Ken Boyd was indicted this week on child abuse.
Boyd was arrested last month after a student claimed Boyd grabbed his collar and pushed him. A second student told investigator that Boyd grabbed his arm and his neck and forced him to the ground.
It was unclear if Boyd had an attorney. Boyd remains on paid leave.
