POLICE SEARCH FOR SUSPECT IN NM SODA BURGLARIES

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) Police in Santa Fe are searching for a man suspected of burglarizing more than a dozen vending machines in the city. Detectives say the suspect was captured on video by a camera inside one of the machines on Feb. 10. The video shows the man breaking into the soda machine at a Walmart store.

Since December, police say 16 machines all belonging to the Coca Cola Bottling Company of Santa Fe have been damaged or burglarized. Each incident reportedly has resulted in $600 in machine repairs, but there's no immediate estimate on how much change was stolen. The machines were targeted at Walmarts, hotels and apartment complexes in Santa Fe.

Police say the suspect also may be responsible for the theft of a $2,500 soda machine earlier this week.
