SNAP or EBT

In the news again is Food Stamps or SNAP or EBT, whatever we are calling it today, in essence Government assistance.  We are now looking at having those for are on the government rolls to work a 20 jour a week job, volunteer or get some sort of training.  And of course the democrats are outraged in particular New Mexico Congresswoman Michelle Lujan-Grisham who had the sound bite friendly response "babies are going to go hungry".  Of course the left finds offense anytime government programs are even talked about being adjusted, most reasonable people will agree asking those who depend on taxpayers to provide for their families should at least make an effort and a 20 hour a week job, volunteering, or training for a job is not asking too much.  Food stamps and government assistance are now out of control and have been corrupted beyond repair, instead of handing out Food stamps the government should give people who require this assistance a loaf of bread, a pound of bologna and gallon of milk a week, if this is does not meet their standards, they can go out a get a job like the rest of us.
