CANDIDATES TO FILE PRE PRIMARY FINANCE REPORTS

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) Candidates for governor and other state offices are facing a pre primary election deadline for disclosing their latest fundraising. Campaign finance reports must be filed Thursday with the secretary of state's office.

Candidates will disclose how much money they have raised and spent during the past three weeks. The reports will provide the last complete look at fundraising before the June 3 primary election. Republican Gov. Susana Martinez had cash-on-hand of about $4.2 million as of May 5.

Five Democrats are running for governor: Attorney General Gary King, state Sens. Linda Lopez and Howie Morales, Santa Fe businessman Alan Webber, and former government agency administrator Lawrence Rael.

Webber has been the leading Democratic fundraiser, and reported a cash balance of about $456,000 in his campaign account earlier this month.
