FARMINGTON FAMILY’S MISSING DOG FOUND DECAPITATED

FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) A Farmington-area family's anguish over their missing 7-month-old puppy turned into shock when they found the dog decapitated. According to the Daily Times, family members and a friend were searching for goats in woods behind the trailer court that the family owns when they found the dog's remains on Saturday.

Sherry Martin says they knew the dog's head was cut off because the wound was precise and his angles were bound. They haven't found the dog's head.

Albert Martin said the Great Pyrenees-Saint Bernard mix disappeared in mid-April soon after he had a run-in with some strangers walking dogs on the Martins' property.

Sheriff's Office Sgt. Kevin Burns said it's unlikely that authorities will be able to find the people responsible for the beheading.
