LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) A 39-year-old Las Cruces woman is going on trial in the death of her boyfriend. Annette Fuschini face charges of first-degree murder and aggravated driving while intoxicated in the June 12 death of Carlos Nevarez III. The Las Cruces Sun-News reports that Nevarez was run over by Fuschini's pickup after he got out of the vehicle following an argument.
Fuschini's trial in state District Court in Las Cruces is to begin Monday. Fuschini initially told police she did not remember the incident. Later, according to a criminal complaint, she acknowledged running over Nevarez.
