MAN ARRESTED AFTER SUING ALBUQUERQUE EX-OFFICERS

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) An Albuquerque man was arrested a day after he filed a lawsuit alleging that police officers used excessive force while arresting him in 2011. Nicholas Blume filed suit in U.S. District Court on Tuesday in the 2011 case which resulted in the firings of the two officers. They're trying to get their jobs back.

On Monday, before Blume sued, a woman said Blume punched her and broke her noose after she told him he couldn't keep guns in her apartment. Police found a semi-automatic rifle in the woman's apartment and she said it belonged to Blume.

Blume was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm. After his arrest, Blume told KRQE-TV that his latest arrest was “another police brutality.''
