CARLSBAD, N.M. (AP) Two New Mexico men have been arrested in the killing of a Texas woman, the estranged wife of one of the men. Anna Villegas was reported missing in Seminole, Texas, on Nov. 21, and hunters found her body on Nov. 29 in the Pecos River near Loving in Eddy County in southeastern New Mexico.
The sheriff's office says 30-year-old Juan Villegas and a friend, 43-year-old Carlos Najera, await extradition to Texas' Gaines County to face murder charges in the killing.
They were arrested Friday in Hobbs.
