A memorial service is planned for a Sandoval County sheriff's sergeant who died after being struck by a vehicle during a snow storm. Family, friends and law enforcement officers from the area will be gathering Thursday at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho for a memorial service to honor Sgt. Robert Baron. He was struck last Thursday while directing traffic along I-25 near San Felipe Pueblo.
