CARLSBAD, N.M. (AP) Authorities in southeastern New Mexico have identified a homicide victim whose body was found in the Pecos River as a 24-year-old Texas woman. The Eddy County Sheriff's Department says family members reported Anna L. Villegas of Seminole, Texas, missing on Nov. 21.
According to the Carlsbad Current-Argus, medical investigators determined that she was asphyxiated. A hunter found her bound and nude body Friday morning north of Loving.
