LAS VEGAS, N.M. (AP) New Mexico State Police bomb technicians detonated deteriorating dynamite found at an electric cooperative's maintenance lot. According to the Las Vegas Optic, the dynamite was found in a manhole Monday afternoon during a routine cleaning of the Mora-San Miguel Electric Cooperative's lot.
The bomb squad detonated the dynamite at the site after nearby homes and businesses were evacuated.
